20th Century Supermarkets

An away party beamed down to Safeway in Halesowen for one weekend during September 2000, where crew members helped customers bag their shopping up, as transporters and replicators had not yet been invented.  Altogether over the two days, we raised over £500.  The money raised from this effort will be added to the proceeds from other events up until April 28th 2001, which is when we are holding our exhibition, 2001: A Trek Odyssey.

"Store Trek - The Final Frontier

Captain's Log, Stardate: September, Store: Halesowen, Mission: Fund Raising.

Kind hearted staff at a Halesowen store brought in some special space explorers to help raise funds for the County Air Ambulance.

Local Star Trek group USS Ranger was beamed down to the store for a weekend to encourage customers to part with their cash for a good cause.

The group helped raised the magnificent total of almost £600, £50 of which was donated by store manager Simon Woolley who was impressed with the groups hard work.

The trekkies proved so popular that after Scotty beamed them back up, customers asked when they would be returning to the store."
