This road, finding its way down the mountain side, is one of the windiest roads I have ever been on.  Hair pin bends every couple of hundred metres and the Jeep drivers didn't go too fast for us.  Only one wheel left the floor!

The road itself took 16 years to build (by hand) and leads to a village that wasn't discovered until 30 years after the Spaniards had conquered the Canary Islands.
